SENATOR ROCKEFELLER ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF JAMES J. BURNS V OF MORGANTOWN TO THE UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY
WASHINGTON- Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) announced today that James J. Burns V has received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. Burns is a resident of Morgantown.
"I had the honor of nominating James Burns for an appointment to the Naval Academy," said Rockefeller. "The residents of West Virginia should be proud to have such a fine young man representing their state at the Naval Academy."
James Burns V attends Morgantown High School and will graduate in May. He has taken part in numerous clubs and activities, including Model Club, Key Club and the Speech Team. James has also been a member of several swimming teams. In addition to his school and athletic activities, he has worked at the 2000 Special Olympics, volunteered at several swim meets and continues to build and donate model ships and airplanes to various museums.
